About Massage/Services

Just like humans horses hold stress, trauma and anxiety in their muscles on top of the everyday muscle strain that results from the jobs that they perform. Equine massage is a centuries-old form of therapy that has been utilized by many cultures around the world including the Romans, Native Americans, and Tibetans to help facilitate healing, release lactic acid build up, relieve dense, sticky muscles and alleviate any soreness or sensitivity.  From beloved family pets to show horses, they all benefit from the healing touch of massage!

          More benefits of massage

  • Boosts lymphatic, circulatory and respiratory systems

  • Increased immune system and improved digestion

  • Improves muscle tone, flexibility, helps muscle atrophy.

  • Helps identify irregularities or structural imbalances.

  • Increased energy and “unbinding” of Fascia (connective tissue)

Equine massage also greatly benefits the emotional health of the horse. Touch is a very spiritual and non-verbal form of communication and because horses have wonderful intuition and have the ability to read and feel energy, they respond very well to the positive, loving and healing energy that comes through the hands of the massage therapist. When proper boundaries are in place and both parties are in a calm and grounded state (I find that breathwork helps immensely) the releases of energy and bonding are magnificent, thus resulting in a successful session. My goal in each and every session is to connect with the horse mind, body and spirit. To foster trust and a calm grounded environment which will allow the best possible outcome.
